A few years ago, I had a dream where I was locked in a small, cobblestone room. There were a couple of piles of straw stacked in the corner, and the small window was barred with iron poles. Inside the room there were about 20 other people, all of whom appeared to have been cut into pieces and stitched back together incorrectly. The people seemed scared or sad, and I soon realised that they were being held captive by a deranged surgeon and that I was his next victim. As the door opened, a masked man brandishing a needle wheeled a small cart into the room, and I immediately swung a punch at the man’s head, killing him instantly. As I went to escape the room however, a women stepped in front of me, turned her back to me and pulled down her dress to reveal a face stitched onto her back. The face opened it’s eyes and said to me “this won’t hurt a bit” before the woman’s arms bent backwards behind her to grab at my throat.
I woke up after that, but the dream was so fucked up and memorable that it deserved a place on the album.
